Well, our two oldest boys have finally decided that they wanted to be Altar Servers.

They served their first Mass last Sunday.  I only got to see them towards the end.  Brandon was at work so I was alone with all of the little ones.  Can you hear the scary music playing in your head? I had to go to the crying room and eventually we even went out to the van.  We made our way back in just in time to receive the Holy Eucharist.  I was so proud of the boys.  As Catholics we believe that we are standing before Christ himself and God.  We believe that Heaven is on earth at that moment of consecration, but I was just in awe that the boys are literally right there.  It just blew my mind away.  I think it is an honor for those families whose sons are willing to become Altar Servers.  It was truly beautiful.

Trinity is going to be in the choir.  She starts practicing this coming Sunday.  She is so excited…I am a bit nervous because then I will really be on my own when Brandon is at work.    I will have Tyme, and he was so helpful this past Sunday.  I need to keep reminding myself that one day our little ones will be grown up and on their own.  This is the time for me to teach my children about our Lord, and eventually I will get to spend some wonderful one on one time with Christ.  Right now He wants me to love our children, teach them about Him, and enjoy the time that I have with them because it isn’t going to last forever.
